  • I currently serve the SPPM as a liaison member to the SPA Surgical Advisory Committee.
  • I am an active member of SPA.  Served as Chair of the Ad Hoc Bylaws committee and as faculty for the Intensive Review of Pediatric Anesthesia.  I serve on the Education Committee and as a member of the Subcommittee on Continuing Medical Education.  I also served as Program Chair for “Frontiers in Pediatric Pain Medicine” at the SPA Annual Meeting in Las Vegas (March 14, 2013) when SPPM was still a Special Interest Group of the SPA.
  • I also served the SPA as Program Chair, Problem Based Learning Discussions and Program Co-Chair for 2014 Winter Meeting for Society for Pediatric Anesthesia/American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Pain & Anesthesia, Ft. Lauderdale, FL and as Workshop Chair & Program Co-Chair, 2015 Winter Meeting for Society for Pediatric Anesthesia/American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Pain and Anesthesia, Phoenix, AZ

Involvement with other national/international (pediatric) anesthesia organizations (if applicable) – please provide a brief description of organization.

  • I am also active in the American Society of Anesthesiologists.  I have served on the Committee on Pediatric Anesthesia in the past, and currently serve on the Pediatric Anesthesia Educational Subtract Committee and the Pediatric Anesthesia Abstract Review Committee.  I have been a presenter and facilitator at the Workshop on Acupuncture and will be giving the Refresher Course Lecture on Pediatric Trauma Update this year.
  • Additionally, I served the American Board of Anesthesiology as a question writer for the Board Exam in Pediatric Anesthesiology.
