Last week, 55 families came together at Morgan’s Camp in San Antonio, TX, for the 4th Annual Pediatric Pain Warrior Family Summer Camp—and what an unforgettable week it was! Families discovered connection, understanding, and acceptance, while kids living with chronic pain built lasting friendships, grew in confidence, and had the chance to simply be kids.
Every day brought laughter, courage, and discovery—from creative arts and adaptive sports to family game nights and a festive luau. Campers rode horses, soared on the giant swing, braved the ropes course, and relaxed in the pool and lazy river. Families cheered each other on through new challenges, shared quiet moments, and embraced fresh adventures. Many conquered fears and tried new things they once thought impossible. Countless new bonds blossomed along the way—reminding us that camp is so much more than just a fun week away from home.
Beyond the fun, families gathered each day for peer support groups and educational sessions on topics like sharing your unique story, practicing self-care, understanding personality strengths, and advocating for yourself and others. These conversations sparked reflection, resilience, and hope that will carry far beyond camp.
Each moment at Morgan’s Camp reaffirmed why this week isn’t just about activities—it’s about building confidence, finding community, and knowing you’re not alone.
We’re profoundly grateful to our volunteers, sponsors, Morgan’s Camp staff, and, most of all, the incredible Pediatric Pain Warrior families who continue to inspire us every day.
