Three IASP Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are offering five awards recognizing excellence in pediatric pain, pain in older persons, and musculoskeletal pain. These awards support both emerging investigators and established leaders in pain research and clinical care. Review the award opportunities below and apply before the upcoming March and June deadlines.


Pain in Childhood SIG Early Career Award in Pediatric Pain Research

The Early Career Award in Pediatric Pain Research is presented annually to honor an early-career researcher whose work has demonstrated outstanding contributions to pediatric pain science. The award includes an invitation to present a plenary lecture at the 2027 International Symposium on Pediatric Pain (ISPP), free ISPP registration, 3 nights’ accommodation, economy airfare, and a CAD $1,000 cash prize.

Pain in Childhood SIG Distinguished Career Award in Pediatric Pain

The Distinguished Career Award in Pediatric Pain is presented annually to recognize an individual with a long-standing, productive career that has significantly advanced pediatric pain research. The award includes an invitation to deliver a plenary lecture at the 2027 International Symposium on Pediatric Pain (ISPP), free ISPP registration, 3 nights’ accommodation, economy airfare, and a CAD $1,000 cash prize.
