Postsurgical Pain Assessment in Children and Adolescents with Cerebral Palsy

 

A new scoping review investigates facts that influence assessment of postoperative pain in pediatric patients with cerebral palsy.

The Impact of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 Pandemic on Pain and Psychological Functioning in Young Adults with Chronic Pain

Neurolysis for Analgesia Following Pectus Repair in a National Cohort

A study published in Journal of Pediatric Surgery retrospectively examines a 3 year cohort of patients who received cryoablation for management of pectus repair pain. Length of stay was reduced as well as need for  post op ICU admission in those who received cryoablation.

The Society for Pediatric Pain Medicine supports our parent organization, Society for Pediatric Anesthesia in recognizing that gender-affirming care is life-saving and medically necessary.  The SPPM will continue to support the rights of TGD youth and help ensure that they receive the gender-affirming care that they seek.
