A 12-year-old child was admitted to the hospital for acute on chronic abdominal pain with nausea, vomiting, decreased oral intake and recent weight loss. Primary care physician is treating patient for constipation and pain with over-the-counter medications. There is no prior outpatient work up. The initial inpatient workup is pending.
